What this was

The World of Work Project was a previous venture, run by James Carrier and Jane Stewart. Over the life of it we recorded 187 episodes: interviews with researchers, practitioners and people doing the actual job, alongside our own attempts to explain the models managers keep bumping into.

Jane co-hosted the series and shaped a great deal of what it became. She is worth following in her own right — you can find her on LinkedIn.

The project has since closed and People Shift does what came next. We have kept the whole archive online rather than quietly deleting it: a fair amount of it is still the clearest explanation of a topic we have, the guests gave their time generously, and none of it improves by disappearing.
